Tony Blaschka

SUN PRAIRIE, WI

Anthony A. "Tony" Blaschka, age 78, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Tony was born on September 13, 1938 in Madison to his parents Benjamin and Elvina (Blaska) Blaschka. He married Mardell Pfaff on August 13, 1966 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church in Sun Prairie.

Tony served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. He worked and owned Ben's Auto with his brother Paul from 1962 to 2003. Tony was a pilot, a snowmobiler, and a trail groomer for the Prairie Riders Club. He was also a corvette enthusiast and a longtime blood donor.

Tony is survived by his wife Mardell; 2 daughters, Tracy (Michael) Herold of Sun Prairie and Becky Blaschka of Madison; 2 grandchildren, Olivia and Gabriel Herold; sister Generose Koeppl of Raleigh NC; brother Paul (Dawn) Blaschka of Sun Prairie; and many nieces and nephews.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters Mary Ellen Blaschka, and Arleen Oestricher; and brothers-in-law George Koeppl and Louie Oestreicher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday May 9, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will preside. A visitation will be held on Monday May 8, 2017 from 4 to 7:00 p.m. at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. A scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A visitation also will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Tuesday. Burial will take place in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sacred Hearts Cemetery Fund or American Red Cross.
